The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is the organ of the United Nations charged with maintaining peace and security among nations. While other factions of the United Nations only make recommendations to member governments, the Security Council has the power and autonomy to make decisions which member governments must carry out under the United Nations Charter.

The pronouncements of the Council are known as United Nations Security Council Resolutions. The Security Council is made up of 15 member states, consisting of five permanent ten temporary seats. The permanent five are China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

These members hold veto power over substantive but not bureaucratic resolutions. The ten temporary seats are held for two-year terms with member states voted in by the UN General Assembly on a regional basis. The Presidency of the Security Council is rotated alphabetically each month.

Literature Paper 4; The Handmaid's Tale

Well, that was a small glimpse of the various subjects that I'm taking in Cj. Economics, History and Literature. A nasty combination some might say. A combination whereby everything is answered in an essay form.

In any case, bowling training today was once again very fun. Bowled together with Shawn, Krist, Milton and Alvin.

Its gonna be a really taxing weekend. Many assignments to complete, and so many tests to study for. Its that time of the year again. My class is feeling it. I'm feeling it. Its in the air I tell you. Mug Mug Mug. Haha.

Homework to complete by this weekend include:

1) Literature CA Essay
2) History Outline; Super Macro
3) History Outline; Weekly
4) History - United Nations Conclusion
5) Economics Essay
6) Literature Group Work

Fun :)

Whats more, there are also two tests next week. Economics and History.
