*"The Mirror"

The ASEAN Seminar today was pretty cool. "Celebrating 40 years: ASEAN". It was indeed an enriching experience listening to Mr. Kishore Mahbubani. (I hope I got his name right XD) Man, he is listed as the world's top 100 public intellectuals; according to the Foreign policy and Prospect magazines in September 2005.

His presentation on the comparisons between UN, EU and ASEAN was refreshing; providing much of his own valuable insights that pretty much went against most of the stuff usually found in the various readings we have in our syallbus document. Q and A session was a little comical though :)

The two other speakers also provided very enlightening views on ASEAN per se, both in the economic and social aspects. It was overall a very well covered seminar. Rather enjoyable.


So, apart from the heavy workload, the weekend has been pretty much entertaining, enriching , enjoyable and extremely educational. Thus, one could infer (with the obvious alliteration) that today has been nothing short of spectacular :)

Yesterday's bowling training was pretty alright too. Things are indeed looking up. (Notice, I'm conveniently omitting the results of my common tests?)*
