Congratulations Singapore. I'm sure winning the Youth Olympic Bid would bring greater revenue, intangible profits and 'home-ground' advantage for all of us.

In retrospect, we really have been acheiving a considerable amount in the recent months. Singapore Airlines being the first airline in the world to receive the Superjumbo A380. The first ever night race in the history of Formula One racing would be in Singapore. The construction of vital parts for both the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350s would be in Singapore.

And finally, the first ever Youth Olympics would be held in Singapore in 2010.

Considering our size, we really have become a formidable force in the global economic infrastructural sphere.
