"Time to Pretend"
The weekend has been great. Then again, when you're called to serve your Nation, every weekend has to be great. :)
Friday night was spent with Eugene and Jeremy at the Bowling alley! It was a good game although I must admit that my bowling skills have become rather rusty. The initial hooking technique that I was pretty accustomed to has degenerated into a mere straight shot. Or as how Eugene eloquently puts it, the "Bulldozer" shot.
Saturday was pretty mundane. It was spent cleaning up my closet and setting my life in order. The only highlight was catching "Hellboy 2". It was quite a good show with cliched themes and predictable action scenes. Heh.
There has been many various issues plaguing my mind recently. Somehow and rather comically, the mess around my table seems to exemplify and illustrate the state of confusion in my mind. Currently, I have a "Buy low, sell high" newspaper article alongside numerous books. Namely, "The Audacity of Hope", "Fahrenheit 451" and "The Advocate's Devil". All of which are rather haphazardly placed around the table.
I cannot help but reflect on how my current issues are so contradicting, vague, ambiguous and extremely poignant at the same time. Decisions that may actually have an adverse effect on my future. Interestingly, these sentiments parallel the lesson that was taught by Chris Tan today with the Secondary Ones.
Is it wrong to think BIG? Donald Trump obviously does not think so. Or else, his notable book which is also a best seller - "Think BIG" would not have existed.
Is it erroneous to be ambitious? Is being ambitious hovering along the lines of Greed? Or is it just a mere obstacle to one's full potential.
Decisions Decisions Decisions.
Choices Choices Choices.
Utter Confusion.
Oh look at the time! Its Book In time yet again. I'm off to my last official week of the Basic Police Training and its full steam ahead for the Passing out Parade. Woo.
